What should I bring to the clinic?
Please come every day with cleats (a must), a
water bottle, light and dark shirts, and a snack. Sunscreen and a hat are also highly recommended. We provide liquids for
the bottle (water and Gatorade), and some food. Every participant is also given a disc at the beginning of the week, and is
expected to bring it every day.
What if it's really hot?
We are very aware of the
dangers of heat exhaustion/heat stroke and are very careful to avoid it. On hot days we take frequent water breaks and make
use of the shade and splash fountains on-site to cool off. Air-conditioned, indoor space is available if anyone is not feeling
well; there is also usually a nurse on-site.
My little brother and I are both doing the camp.
I've been playing for two years and he's just trying it out -- will we be playing together?
For part
of every day, we break into different groups based on age and skill level. That way, everyone is working on mastering
new skills and ideas appropriate to his/her level. However, there will always be at least one activity during the day
where we pull together campers of diverse abilities together for some kind of fun activity!
What
else is there to do in Concord?
Eating is usually high on most player's list at the end of the session,
and there are plenty of sandwich and pizza shops in walking distance of the fields. The world-famous Walden Pond is just down
the street if a cooling swim is desired.
